Hi guys,
This is my first post and I´d like to show how big is superbikes fan club in Brazil and learn about how people from other coutries go for a ride.
My bike is a Gsxr 1000-08 orange/black. It´s a USD 30 thousand dollars bike, because of importing taxes. It´s original, no power commander or other stuff. Just a Puig windscreen. There´s no superbikes factory in Brazil. The Importing company, which is not Suzuki, bring CKD´s and assembly it in Brazil and give good assistence in maybe 500 dealers around the country.
I bought my bike in june/08 and she´s 4 thousand miles today. I belive the most popular superbike in Brazil is R1, follow by CBR and GSXR. 35/30/30 and 5% for other bikes, like Triumph.
I read Somewhere that in some contries the season starts in october or something like that, because of snow or cold. Is it true?
Every sunday morning (7:00am) in São Paulo-Brazil we (me and friends) go for a ride. There´s no season problem, the whole year is warm. Sometimes rain can leave us locked at home, but it happens once a month. and it´s sad...
I wear a Clover suit (It), Zebra gloves, Gaerne boots and Arai Helmet. The most popular suit in Brazil are Dainesi, Speed and Alpinestars. Price range in USD 1.7 and 2.5 thousand dollars.
We (me and friends) usuly go with 10 superbikes (R1, GSXR, CBR) to a ride 100 miles away from town. We enjoy go to montain tracks(?) and "to lie down" our bikes and then stop for a cup of coffee and tell couple lies about our skills... just kidding!
Sao Paulo got very good highways. It´s the richest city in Brazil. The main highways you can hit 299 km/h or 186 miles/h easily and go for couple minutes this speed. If you guys want I can put some youtube videos about it and I want to watch your video too !!
So, I apologize about my english but i Did my best and hope i could make me understand. I´ll wait for your experiences!
Tks! bye! :wacko
