ohhhhhhhh.......here we go:cryingThat engine looks tiny and shoved waaaay back/up in the frame.
Still heavy:Suzuki did there job!! Move over and out of the way R1 and CBR1000RR!!:cheers
Here we go what? :dunnoohhhhhhhh.......here we go:crying
its just someone is always not happy with something, the motor is put there for a purpose. And when the bike is released YOU WILL SEE WHY!:cheersHere we go what? :dunno
Just making an observation - looks like they're taking a page out of honda's book and going for "mass centralization" rather than trying to lower the CG.
And am I just missing the steering damper?
That just shows you how much work Suzuki has been doing. That is a lot of weight to loose on a bike made for mass production when considering all the regulations it has to adhere to to.Suzuki is claiming a 448lb wet weight for the 2009 1k. I'm REALLY happy about the weight reduction.
Here are the weights from the SportRider 2008 1k shootout.
Weight
440 lb. (200kg) wet; 412 lb. (187kg) dry -- 08 1000RR
463 lb. (210kg) wet; 436 lb. (198kg) dry -- 08 ZX-10
469 lb. (213kg) wet; 441 lb. (200kg) dry -- 08 1k
464 lb. (210kg) wet; 436 lb. (198kg) dry -- 08 R1
I'm REALLY disappointed ABS is an option on the 09 1000RR and not on the 09 1k. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm gonna have to ride both the 09 1k and the 09 1000RR ABS before I make a decision.
Can you post a reference to any data to support this claim? Works great for cars and ive read reviews that it reduced stopping distances on bikes on closed circuit testing, but ive never seen any real world data that it saves lives.ABS saves lives on the street whether people want to admit it or not.
