Looks great! I thought that combining the two engines would work out fine. Just curious, when you had everything apart, did you weigh each rod, pin, and piston set? The piston assy from the #1 motor was probably balanced to agree with the other three in its original set. But as an orphan in #2 motor, it may not necessarily agree with its new sisters. Best of luck, and I hope this one lasts more than a week!

So far so good - I did not weigh them, but I cross referenced all the part numbers - stamps etc and all seemed to match and be OK with one another.

It probably would have blown already if the new family of parts did not get along.......Thanks

Went for a really long Saturday morning (lost almost 2 months of riding until I could get it fixed, so trying to make up for lost time). It was mostly around north western mass in a little into Vermont. I still haven't put up any pics of it so I figured i'd give it a shot...hopefully the images don't come in absolutley massive.

So I picked this little guy up for my 25th birthday back in July. Not much really wrong with her, good shape overall and I got a killer deal.

Wait, wait, wait...there's YELLOW paint on it? Yeah right, it's gotta go.

Whoops - sorry to see the bike tacoed
:crying

yea...it fuckin sucks. The left side looks worse, the tank is all smashed in and the tail is all cracked. I was hunted down by a rogue motorcycle...me and a friend were out for a "spirited" ride on a nice twisty road in northern MA. He was lead on the way back and just pushed his bike (SV 650) too hard, lowsided in a hard left turn. Him and his bike went off into the guardrail, the bike hit the rail and it (and its pieces, such as forks and front wheel) spiraled off back into the road right in front of me in the turn. My front wheel hit the top of his gas tank as the bike's body slid in front of me. Luckily my gear held up, just minor rash on two spots on my lower leg and some soreness.
