Hey all! i'm approaching my first oil change since i bought my bike and i was hoping to get everyone's opinion on what kind of oil and filter i should get for my bike. a friend of mine said rotella t (which is straight synthetic motor oil) and pep boys carries castrol which is specifically made for bikes. and i'm sure that there are others out there like the stuff from the dealership and so on. so i'm open for opinions and i was also looking for help with a part number for a filter i can buy at an auto parts store instead of buying the way over priced filter at the dealership. thanks in advance!!

gallon rotella 15-40 regular oil $8.88. gallon synthetic $16.88. fram filter is about $7.
Exactly what I paid, not a bad price and the bikes runs smooth.
AutoZone has K&N part number is KN138

Hmmm that's mighty white of them to weld a nut on the end of the oil filter to aid in it's removal...:cheers
