IMO it would look better if it was just red. It looks like an anodized red color or chrome red. If you got it in just red (matching the R on the bike) and painted the intake ports (the outside of the ports not the mesh part) a matching red it would look nice.

Either that or powder coat you rearsets/pegs the same color as the screen and you will be matching. It sticks out because you only have the red rim tape to go along with it.

you really can't be serious. im an advocate of "to each their own," but you're throwing crack rocks at a crack fiend.

I am 100% serious. If i post pics of my bike I would get hammered for keeping it stock since my bike is 100% stock. You just contradicted yourself with your own words. I'm not sure if he was trying to color coordinate his bike or just wanted to stand out because he's afraid of not being noticed on the road. I took it as he was trying to coordinate colors on his bike since he has the red rim tape.

you wouldnt get hammered for it being stock.. people post stock pics all the time and we welcome them

I have the same color and NEVER thought of putting the red windscreen. It makes my head hurts even thinking about it.

If you can't lay down that much then why have your tankpad so high?

I don't get what everyone's problem is, I've seen hundreds of bike with solid or reflective windscreens that look pretty much the same. If it's not your cup of tea, don't put it on your bike.

Nice looking bike, looks too much like the black R6 with red highlights though.

i have no idea what you are referring to. i thought you were joking when you were telling him to powdercoat his rearsets red and to paint his intake ports red to match his windscreen. that sounds like it would be tacky as fuck which is why i thought you were joking. can you even picture how ugly that would be? not to mention that there would be like 5 different shades of red that will not match between eachother (red chrome windshield, red R, red powdercoated wheels, red painted intakes, and red rim stripes). thats a lot of red that won't match.

as for getting flamed for your bike being stock....that has nothing to do with anything ive said.

Man, tough fuck*** critics. I am leaning both ways. I like the idea and it adds a lot to the bike with one small mod, but yeah it may be a bit much. Overall, not that bad.

But after all the shit talk, back to him getting a puig carbon hugger, I had one. It is ok, but the fake carbon is kind of cheesy. Get a real one or don't.

I didn't have the tape on the bike when I put the windscreen on, and it didn't look that bad. I ordered the tape on line from some where in europe, and ordered the dark red. The red tape is a different color than the windscreen so it doesn't help it come together as well as I intended.
Also, when I bought the chrome red windscreen, I purchased it based on a red chrome windscreen that was on the wall in englehart for an R6. The color was a darker red and looked awesome. The red chrome on mine doesn't look as dark, but that could be because I see mine in the light, and the other may have looked darker on the wall indoors.
All in all, I don't think it looks that bad, but it does look a little too much after putting the red tape on the tires. Getting all of the reds to match up is a bitch as there are so many different companies out there obviousley using different colors, or hues of red if you will.
I am having my rear sets powder coated black this winter, when I can't ride anymore here in WI.

Go to youtube and you can hear it for yourself, that is what I did when looking at exhausts...you can see how they look, and hear there....good luck
