True. I want to stay within 600cc , I don't think I will ever get a 1000cc no matter how many bikes I get, even a 750cc for that matter. Right now I'm looking at a Yamaha R6, CBR600RR, and obviously keeping the Gixxer in mind. I might actually just get a used bike and turn it into a stunter... obviously not on public roads... :rolleyes... Still got to wait a few weeks for my insurance company to complete it's thing, so I'll see what happens. 4 other sportbikes got stolen yesterday locally, including mine. Someones behind all this... :shifty

Find the guy selling bike parts for cheap on craigslist/ebay. Pretend like you wanna come see it, if it's from your bike, kick his ass, steal it back, and then... profit? :punk

:eek yikes. Scares me to know they only need about 30 seconds to take off with your bike. I've been looking at alarm systems, and all kind of security measures, but my uncle keeps telling me that if they want the bike, they'll have the bike, no matter what you put on it.
Sound like your bike was taken by pros. And because it was so fast, they had to be keeping an eye on you, and the 4 other bikes they took in the area. Sucks to hear, can't imagine how i'd feel. I guess i'd be ready to kick some *ss.

good luck with your new bike! don't leave it on the driveway! the thieves might think you'll get a new one, and still be keeping an eye on you. I know someone who got his new bike stolen 3 times in a row!!

Wow... glad nothing like that hasn't happened to me (yet). Sounds like the work of true professionals. I farking hate theives!!! :mad

I'd say replace it w/ a 750 if you feel comfortable enough w/ that! Great bike and hard to outgrow-- I'm still putting 1K's in their place in the twisties and straights! :punk

I'm bit paranoid when it comes to stolen bikes. In fact I didn't go for a ride yesterday or perhaps even today because there is a large group with a moving company working across the street from me. I live at the end of a quiet cul de sac so I do not want a bunch of young bucs knowing a newer sportbike exists in this dwelling as well as a track only bike. They'd definately hear and see it as it warmed up and I drove away as well as they'd get a great look inside my garage.

I'll even keep riding if there are a bunch of cars behind me or coming the opposite direction when I turn on to my street.

The less people who know where I live and bikes exist the better.

I don't get why some of you are suggesting getting a bigger engine. Don't you think if he wanted that he would have bought one the first time around?
