I definitely don't ride hard in areas I don't know. But I still like to use technique that gives me more control just at a slower speed. I find myself more likely to run wide if I sit up straight. I'm not trying to get my knee down on every turn. Just positioning body weight.

On that second video it looked as though you may have scraped some toe. What you want to do is get the balls of your feet on the pegs. Just like in any sport you use the balls of your feet. You get used to it. You shouldn't be scraping your toes at all at this point.

Yeah man the sides of my riding boots (mostly left) are ground down a bit from scraping them, I REALLY need to get into the habit of standing on the balls of my feet like you said. I even put the rearsets in the backmost up position and have scraped a lot less since but it still happens from time to time.

Yeah, you get used to keeping the balls of your feet on the pegs. Just start doing it and it will become second nature.
