i ust bought a 91 gsxr750 it starts and idles fine until it is warm then kinda boggs when you blip the throttle. i rode it around the block as soon as i tried to give it any gas it has a major flat spot then i let off it back fires. the previous owner has no clue about whats been done to it. so i dont know if it has any modds other than the yosh can and he had no filters on the carbs of any kind. please help guys i need this bike on the road quick.
need help carb problem i think?

check your floats and idle mixture screws, and reset them to stock if they're off. when i bought my bike, it wouldnt run past 1/4 throttle. turned out one of my floats was cracked and full of gas, and the others just werent set right.
oh yah, and get a jet kit and filters.

jet kit and filters im already on it. i put a syncronizer on it and 1 carb is way off. should i also check valves?

ok so i pulled my carbs off and they have alread been jetted. then i noticed there was no needle hanging down from the slide on the number 1 carb. after takeing it apart i found the needle but the bottom slot where the clip goes is screwed and no one not even dynojet wants to sell me just the needle. so could i install the clip at the second to top notch and try to find a plastic spacer to make up the difference?

How is the needle screwed? You could try putting all of your clips on the second notch. The needle controls the midrange and if the clip is on the bottom it going to come in sooner. Most jet kits I have used had the clip in the 2nd or 3rd position. But, this is assuming that your main jet is the right size and you could be sacrificing some WOT midrange by not having that bottom notch as an option. In any case, your bike will run and you will not be harming the engine by doing so. im starting to get pissed at this bike. ok i put clips on third notch put the carbs back on then it wouldnt start. the danm petcock was clogged with trash...

ok thanks for all the good advise and hlping me calm down. hopefully she will be running again today. where can i get lowering links or how can i make some? it has a 6" over swing arm so it sits kinda high in the back. i do wish i knew what all has been done to this bike. i was pulling the front plastics off and found 2 nology coil amplifiers, i was going to buy a jet kit but its already been jetted. where can i get plug wires?
