So I've had my bike since May of 06, just hit 11500 miles, how many do you guys have? It's only been on the road for 9 months though. I know some of you guys have broken 20K??
So a year later.... how many miles you got??

well 5/09/07 was the purchase date and at summers end i had 6000 miles and right now i got 7000 miles on it...the riding season is short up north in NJ...

Had it for 4 months.... around 2500 miles.
The only real riding I do is pretty much on Sunday's with the riding buddies.... other than that just commuting to school but that's only 5 minutes away.

Nov 06 and I think i have 6200 miles on her... dunno for sure but definately over 6k.\

What do people think about that article? Is that a legit way to break the engine in?? I've never had the pleasure of breaking in a new bike. My last bike was an '01 F4i and got that used. Was curious to see how you broke your bike in? Did you wait to get on it, like the owners manual said? When did you change your oil and to what kind? Does that article sound like a good idea??
