So i just put my bike together and now it won't start. I have double checked all my connections twice and reset the tip sensor. The gauge cluster, head light and horn work, but when you hit the start switch nothing. The headlight dims like its drawing power but nothing else., PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the bike on?

Sounds like your kick stand sensor is being tripped. Is your kickstand up or is the bike in neutral? If the kickstand is down and bike is in gear it will do the exact thing you are describing.
I experienced my first problem starting the bike tonight and it was this exact problem. I may not be building a bike, but its always the stupid simple things that screw things up. I called up my buddy and he asked if I was still in first, sure enough, flick her into neutral and it was good to go. If this is completely irrelevent to your problem, my bad.

check the power wire to the starter, may be shorted from your description. (headlight dimming)
or the starter drive is jammed - cannot go out and engage into motor.

for a quick test you could use jumper cables and see if the starter motor spins that way. If it doesn't spin the motor, pull the starter off and see if it spins off the bike (using jumper cables again)

hopefully you can figure it out with these quick tests.

the kick stand is up and the bike is in nuetral. i can't hear the fuel pump prime is what i'm worried about. i'm going to check the starter tonight after work. thanks for the feedback.

when you say you put the bike together .. what exactly did you mess with?

If you don't hear the fuel pump wind up .. and if you messed with the right clip on then open up the housing for the kill switch and make sure all the connections are intact.

The only thing that i did to the bike was put a new rear subframe on it and tail fairings. But i will check the kill switch connection tonight after work.

just got home the kill switsh is good and starter both tested with a meter. they are both getting power. Just thought of something. My buddies cbr600rr had the same problem and it was that the tip sensor was upside down. Could this be the same deal on mine? I really appreciate the help guys!!!!!!!!!

If the tip over sensor is upside down, just turn the bike over and you'll be fine :D lol. Like I said, check the tip over sensor...that's sounding like the prob to me right now if all you did was change the subframe/tail section. I'm not 100% sure about the 06/07, but my 02's TOS is on the subframe half of the bike

The cables for my set valve are not connected currentlly. Would this cause the bike to not be able to start? Im running out of ideas quicklly.
