Hi, i wanted to know if this is normal. i opened a post some time ago but now i have a clip so its easier for u to see what i mean.

i took the bike to the dealer but they say that is "normal" they did admit it was a bit more than in other 750 k6. They claim its just the plastics vibrating.

if any of u can check if this also happens i really appreciate it, i dont know what else to do.

thanks !!!:cheers

Sounds like thats your resonant freq. to where your plastics start vibrating. I wouldnt worry about it.

thats what i first thought, but i cant understand how can they design and built a bike without taking that into account.

thats why i want to know if it happens to all 750 k6.

thanks for the reply !!

btw, as extra info, when riding... when rev going up or down pass the 10000rpm the vibration and noise is much worst of what u see in the clip.

First keep that up and the last of your worries will be the plastic viberating. Its very very bad to rev a motor without load for any time much less for the lenght of time in the vid. I seriously doubt you notice that noise @ 10k while actually ridding. Next wear ear plus they really make a huge differance. You won't be nearly as mentally fatigued after a long day at the track. Lastly every single bolt should be checked and loctited if needed. Bikes will shake them selves apart.

i know its really bad to do what i did in the clip, but understand that is was the only way of being able to show here what i meant.

*friscokid, the windshield is fine, the sound come more from the lowest part of the bike.

*racedgsxr600, thanks for that info, really useful !! its seems its "normal".

btw, whilst riding i can still hear it, and its really frustrating, thats why i wanted to solve it, cause apart from that the bike runs perfect.

Have you taken your fairings off recently?

Cause I know that on the inside panel if they are not clipped together right then it will make that noise
what i am going to do is, when i get the bike back from the dealer, take of the side fairings and ride it that way to see if the vibration is from the plastics or not. cause i checked all screws and the new clips they use and they looked all good.

thanks for the idea !!! :cheers

Thee was a well documented "buzz" on the 10's that came from the windscreen vibrating against the mount. Take off your windscreen and put some 1/4" foam weatherstripping on the top of the mount and see if it helps.

Whats the reason it is bad to rev a motor with out a load?

Its not bad to do that. You have to watch what people on here say. I hear so much bs that is well just plain bs. Is the bike broken in? cause if it aint then your only worry would be the rings not completely seating.....other than that how the fuck you gonna hurt it?

I mean.....if you did that everyday for a year....then ok your gonna fatigue the motors internals sooner than what they are meant to last for. If you did it a couple dozen times to figure out wtf is that noise, then you arent gonna do shit. THESE BIKES ARE MADE TO TAKE A HELLUVA BEATING.

If you go around beating your stock honda civic.....ya your gonna break shit.
If you go around beating your corvette or your cobra mustang.....its gonna take it and laugh. And i own a honda civic lol. so i aint hating.

I think its hilarious how many people on here do not actually understand how a motor works. especially the O.G.'s that should be helping people. they just bitch at people to search........because they prob dont know the real answer to anyones q's are.

Whatever you say. You seem to know everything and understand motors more than the engineers that build them.

Then you should know that several things happen when a cold bike is rev-ed while sitting in a garage or drive way as opposed to actually moving. Things like air volume and pressure. How do think a bikes transmition gets lubricated?
So whats the differance between an engine and a motor? What happens to the energy created by the engine if its not directed through the drivetrain?
