Well people ask here and there, how to put a 1000 motor in a 600/750 chassis. Many ask, althought I dont think anyone has done it to an 04+ 600/750, to my knowledge on this forum. So here it is, step by step for putting a Gsxr1000 motor in a 600/750 Chassis.
The entire process, from removing bodywork, to reinstalling bodwork took approx. 5 hours.
1. Remove bodywork
2. Remove Tank
3. Drain Cooling system and remove radiator
4. Unhook and remove wiring harness
5. Remove exhuast
6. Place floor jack under oil pan, and remove front 3 motor mount bolts
7. Remove the rear motor mount bolts.
8. Remove the motor.
9. Raise the 1000 motor into the chassis, and bolt up the rear 2 mounts.
10. Cut your right motor mount parallel to the holes, and slide up the mount and weld it. (Keep the spacer and pinch bolt as shown)
11. Cut off your left side front mount, and remove 3/16" matieral, line up holes with bolt, and weld in place.
12. Install radiator (1000 radiator, bending tabs as shown)
13. Wire motor.
14. Change hand controls
15. Change ignition switch (changing tumblers also to keep same keyset.)
16. Fill cooling system, and check oil.
17. Change fuel pump to a 750 or 1000 Fuel pump (only for 600s)
18. Install bodywork and tank.
Necessary components.
GSXR 1000 Motor
GSXR 1000 Wire Harness
GSXR 1000 Ignition
GSXR 1000 Left and Right Hand Controls
GSXR 1000 Radiator
GSXR 1000 Airbox (preferance, fits better)
GSXR 750 00-03 or 1000 01-04 Fuel Pump! (This is a MUST, 600 does not flow enough, 750/1000 are identical) Cannot use 04/05 750 Pump has to be the previous generation.
Just a bit more info:
You can use your stock upper headlight harness and gauges.
Here are some pictures, hope they help!

Any questions, feel free to ask.

PS. Just wanted to say thanks to Checkered Flag Motorsports, best $125 I ever spent for home use. As you can see I had to go to the shop to do some welding and you cant beat the crane, or lifts, but for the rest of the work at home, Checkered Flag Motorsports stands helped 1000%
