Yeah, I bid $120 up front, but was too tired to stay up and monitor it. Working the late shift on a big exercise we're having right now and needed to sleep.
What's worse is today was a minimum manning day, so I took the opportunity to do some routine maintenance: lubed cables, tightened bolts, etc. Found my rear shock leaking, big drip on the bottom of the linkage. At least I got a new CBR 1100XX shock on hand to replace it, same eye-to-eye length. Went to swap out my choke cable, couldn't get the spring to seat on the carb, then discovered that the cable I was trying to install was 5" too short. So relubed the old one and put it back on. And then it started raining like there's no tomorrow while I'm under the porch w/ all my stuff strewn about like a yard sale. And then it got dark. And my shoes fell off.
Realized the other day that I forgot to order the header flange plates for the '94 header I'm desperately trying to put on. Last order I had from Ron Ayers took over 2 weeks to get here, and I had to ship it UPS to my mother, who turned it around USPS Priority Mail to me here in Korea. So decided to try the local Suzuki/Ducati/Bimota dealer. They only order parts on Wednesday, and get them in the following Wednesday. Same price for the flanges, might get them 3 whole days earlier. God I hate being stationed overseas at times like this. Normal dealer in the States would have had them in stock. Korean dealers and shops carry NO stock.
