No Ducati in AMA next year

Looks like they're acting like 5 year olds who grab their stuff and go home when they aren't winning. :rolleyes Maybe Aprilia will give it a shot so it's not just Jap bikes next year.

Shiiiiiiiittt... Ducatti is calling it quits because they are tired of losing. If anyone on here is familiar with the WRC you will understand what I mean when I say this. When was the last time you saw Skoda win a championship? And they are still in it! Ducatti racing = PUSSIES

There was talk of them taking a sabatical year in WSB to develop the 1200 or whatever new bike they have. They are therefore not supporting any other team.

Good. Bye-bye Ducati. Maybe if they'd design a BETTER bike, they'd win. I hate Dukes anyways. Why pay 15k+ for a 999r when you can get a 2003-2004 and up GSXR1000 for under 11k+ and it in stock form will walk all over the duc.

But Ducati is about the "image." A lot like the Ferrari. A Z06 and Viper will hand a Ferrari it's ass in the straights, and the 911 Turbo will kill it in at the track, and they all cost at least $100k less than the Ferrari. :rolleyes

This is just more than Ducati crying.......it's the AMA fucking things up again. If the AMA would adapt the WSB/BSB rules all would be fine and we would probably see a much bigger grid of full on factory superbikes.

If the AMA would just take their head out of their ass, we might even see the series grow.

Where can WSB races be watched on the television?

What rock are you living under???:confused

Speed shows all of the WSB and WSS races.....if not on Sunday, then on Tuesday.

Why? How about WSB adopt the AMA rules?

In any case its about Ducati getting exposed as an inferior machine in the market with the largest disposable income. Lets face it, the ONLY reason to buy a Ducati is because you already have a better bike in the garage and have some extra cash. Ducati may pick up racing again, but it won't be in the US. They are not interested in having their machine get its ass handed to it week in and week out.

Lets see......why should WSB, BSB and the all Japan series (kind of like the AMA but in Japan) change to the AMA. Make the AMA change so there are common rules. Then, the MFG's would only have to develope one superbike and FWIW, the World Super Bikes are more developed than the AMA SB's.
