ok ive read the posts on here about putting a slipon on and removing the servo and set valve, well, now ive removed the servo motor and disconnected its wiring and cut a black with brown, in first, the black connector and that didnt work so i tried the same color wire in the gray connector (on the top of the harness as its plugged in) and my bike still wont start!! please help me so i can get my baby back on the road! thanx in advance...
ps: the servo is supposed to be completly disconnected and removed, right?

i removed the whole servo unit with the pipe and have had zero problems, are you sure you cut the right wire?

if your standing on the left side (clutch lever side) of the bike its the closest harness, remove that and looking at the side that plugs into the harness with the plastic "coupler lock" on top the black/brown wire the 8th one to the left, on the top row, and next to the blank slot (which is 7 over to the left, top row)

I tried plugging every wire back in so now all the wires are connected, I even plugged the servo back in to see if that was the problem. The FI light is still coming on and the bike will not start. The starter engages but the motor wont crank. I disconnected the negative battery terminal in hopes of the ecu resetting and allowing the bike to start.

If the starter engages, but does not crank, that is a completely different problem. Most likely your battery died. Try charging it for a while and test it again. The valve in the exhaust has no way of stopping the engine from cranking over.

what slip on did you guys buy?
my Akrapovic came with fully detailed instructions and pics.
Ditto my Yosh Japan Shorty. Came with full instructions for completely removing, and disabling the SET valve. I need to scan that sheet and upload someday.

it does if you cut the wrong wire.

again, the bike will not start and there are no wires disconnected! even if i plug the servo back in then it still will not start... im going to try a battery tender after work and see what that does. also, which wire am i supposed to cut on the gray plug?

is it showing a code on the guage?
Ditto. If the FI lite is on, you have a fault code present . What is it ? Did you cut wires or pull them from the connector ? No loose pins, connectors tight ? Splice repairs if used- no open circuits ? If the correct wire is removed for the Set system. All components can be removed with zero problems.
