Recently picked up a set of Dunlop 209 take-offs from an AMA weekend. Rear says 3167 and front says something weird like DBX17 336. Anyone know if these are hard, medium, or soft? Dual compound, triple compound? Couldn't find these exact compound specs on the Sport Tire Services website...

they are a rubber compound :p

1-800-776-8473; Sport Tire Services... they'll know for sure. :cheers

I'm pretty sure the 3165 is a pretty hard tire. If I remember correctly they go like this starting soft and getting harder... 3127, 3136, 3138, 3167, 3185. There may be others, those are just the ones I know of.

I have no clue what that front is.:scratch

Oh, and welcome back... punk.:flipoff You remember how to ride on of these damn two wheeled contraptions?:lol

:cheers

Jeez, you all act like I haven't been here in a while! Oh, wait.....

Guess I'll have to call Sport Tire as no one seems to know for sure. Not like I really give a shit, cuz I'll still be fast on them.... :D

3127 is the HARD compound.....not the soft.

are you kidding me.. LOL

3127 is hard
3136 is medium
and 3166 is soft.,

the front would have olny a 3 digit code., a 758 is a medium..

Sorry, I had a 12'er with lunch... Ok, I didn't. NO excuse today.

I thought I had a conversation with the Sport Tire guys a couple weeks back and I had this stuff figured out.

:hammer :scratch

Let's see... I only run 758 (med) or 950(soft) fronts and the rear is pretty much ALWAYS either 3127 or 3136. They used to have a 3138 which was a medium hard and worked well at Willow...

Ah, fuggit...

Most importantly. PG Rider :piss

:D

I use the 758 med front and the 3136 rears., for almost everything.,

the 3127 hard on the rear of the 1k does not last at all., maybe 1 hour., the 3136 med will go 2.5-3 hours..

and even on the 600 the meds are great

That's bizarre.

When I use the 3127 it's smooth and round as a baby's bottom even after the end of 2 days. The 3136 shreds out much sooner. Maybe it's just wsir? Dunno...

Then why is 5150 running a hard rear and making race distance w/o a tire change? :D oh yeah....and they are faster than you :flipoff
