I KNOW ITS BEEN ASKED A THOUSAND TIMES ALREADY BUT!!

what sort of mileage will be got....
from the factory standard chain & sprocket set...

some get 30k others change it about every 7-10k. it all depends.

i changed mine 15k. It all depends like gimpsta said. some change sooner and some later.

15-16K is about the life of my chain on my 750!
I can do 2 chain for a set of sprocket!

10k on sprockets and chain is easy. if the tension is set right 20k is definatly posible. vortex wears faster than most. i hear good things about sprocket specialist and everyone knows you can't go wrong with afam.

my hard annodized aluminum vortex sprockets have virtually no wear after 5k miles.

depends largely on how hard you ride. people who baby their bikes and take meticulous care of their chains/sprockets get A LOT of mileage. while others who ride harder (drag racing/track days etc) get hardly any mileage in comparison.:cheers
