When are you bringing back the fur?
sorry, some guy bought the full set from me for $225. I guess he was desperate. Anyhow - i like the slick look. Now i just need some new leathers so I don't look so out of place.

gimp,

i think this is where the thread kinda goes into different areas. are we talking about power (pure HP) or how to go faster (power, acceleration, etc.).

if the latter, then we should include lighter wheels for lesser rotating mass discussion.

but if power here is defined as pure HP (proven by dyno), can't really do much w/o engine work, which translates to $$$.

yes, but with $$ restrictions isn't engine work quite a bit more to get the amount of bang you'll want.

for pure HP first a full system and pc = about 10hp usually (with a good company)

but NO additional hp, rather freeing up hp - shoot ya, lighter wheels take off unused things (blinkers), 520, CF body work etc... ;) your right though.

Perfromance mods without the SKILL to control and use them are worthless. SEAT TIME is the only true test of time and will keep you ALIVE longer than all the power in the world... Survived 33 years of riding and racing, power had nothing to do with it only seat time and the experiance garnered from it.:punk

I agree that SKILLS will out-beat HP! Look at any given track day....... I beat up 600 passing liter bikes because of their HIGHER SKILLS!

If you want to "feel" more acceleration, change the sprockets. Very inexpensive and an easy mod to do.

Motor work is a TON of money vs. what you gain. AND if you don't have the SKILLS, you will still be in the same boat that you started in.

PS......... I'm really glad that Gimpsta is sticking with the hardwood-floor look on the bike!!

+1!!

Keith Code or any other riding schools will greatly improve the way you ride. My track days are better and more fun than without going to these schools.

yep. school will do more for you on how to "get faster" around the track. CSS charged around 2K for their racer school, though I'd probably put that on Schwantz or Spencer instead. I've not heard of a racer (in west coast) go to Spencer and regret it.

Gimp,

I was the one to suggest mapping. Why? Because it is a simple mod, he didn't say anything about prices so I put it out there. And by pulling my 11A/F spots to 13 my bike is picking up better now. I wouldnt be so quick to say that maping wont give you power, if it makes you faster then it makes you faster......

?? ok reguardless of money then ya.. maybe get a map. i forget what i wrote, but on a stock bike getting a PC and map isn't NOT going to give you power compared to a full system + pc + map. i'm talking something significant. i'm thinking you don't have the dyno chart but point being if it add power 10hp, then this would be something everyone would of done long time ago. smoothing out the power curve and better throttle response, will feel like added power though.

Hey gimp, are there any real differences / performance differences in the regular cast Brembo Master ($250) vs. the billet Brembo Master ($550)? Also, what real performance differences are there in the 18 vs. the 20 (assuming the 20 will be stiffer and the 18 will be softer and have more feel)? Later,

well i'm not to sure on the billett to cast - nor do i know which do i have.

i do how ever have the 19x18 and it's plenty. it creates a heck of a lot more stopping power and feel. I think i paid about $250 for it so it much be cast. The 20 is just TOO much stopping power I believe. While you'll never actually fully use a 19x18.

with lines/pads the MC combo makes for some great brakes that your buds will die for. I can't imagine adding diff rotors to the equation.
