I found I could adjust mine on the 1127 using the little driver bits you get for battery drills and cheap socket sets. You can use them between your thumb and forfinger.

Not easy and a mirror comes in handy, but it's possible.

Haven't tried it on the kettle yet
 
Yea I have that first one, like someone said about it binding, it does, I ended up dremelling the edges on mine a 1/16 or something. my problem with it was it was hard to guage a full turn and telling if it was actually making contact. I thought it also didn't fully screw them in to the lightly seated position. with my 36mm's i was able to just use a screw bit by hand, and reach and bend and whatnot. cant do that with the 40's no room under 2/3 with starter.. :(
 
I use the small bladed flathead tip from a 6 in 1,works great
 
i just broke down orderd the first (cheaper) tool, along w/ teh econamy carb synk tool and a set of tappet feeler gauges. ......... yeha........ more thigns to help me hold off on geting to ride my bike this week....... cuz why put it back into 1 piece if iv got tools to help do a better tune up on the way haha.......
 
just got my order confermanton and tracking #..... turns out these guys ship from CO...... and i live in CO....... wonder if ill have to pay sales tax?.... if so ill be bumbed cuz icould have picked it up and saved on shiping at elast.....
 
wow!... less than 24hrs and i got my box in hand!...... played w/ the right angle screw driver. seems like a neat tool.....
