Just got my k6 gsxr750 dynoed today, it didn't put out the #'s i was hoping for but close enough i quess.

I didn't get a print out of my air/fuel mixture will try to get it tommorrw but just so you know at 14k it is running fine, but from 8k-12k it is a little lean.

I haven't done ne mods to this bike yet so it is completely stock except for some apperance stuff.

Stupid pic won't come out right :( /cry

ok think i got the pics straighten out

my max power was 120.41 and my torque was 52.32 oh and according to the dyno
my max speed is 178. btw bike has 2700miles on it

Quick question for those who have used a dyno or got their bikes dynoed b4,
The guy that did my dyno only went to 4th gear when he was testing the max hp, I thought that 5 was a power gear and 6 was for topspeed, cruising? Can you guys let me know why they only went to 4th gear?

120 isn't really bad. Dyno's and location vary your HP reading!
They probably got the bike to forth gear, let it rev down some then WOT'd it until rev-limiter. Reason for 4th is because its closet gear to 1:1 ratio. That way it shows max hp. I know that kindof halfway explains it, but im sure someone with more knowledge than me will explain more/better.

yeah i fiquered it sounded low :crying

The lady at the desk told me that they dynoed a bike at this shop and then the guy took his bike to North Carolina(where he lives btw) and got it dynoed w/ everything the same and it pulled +8 more hp on the other dyno so who knows. She said that they have come to the conclusion to add around 6 hp to what the dyno shows to get a more accurate measurment.

Oh and b4 i forgot the guy that did the dyno said that from the k6 1000 gixxers they have only seen 145-150 hp at the rear wheel so far. That seems kinda low as well

i'll be dyno'ing mine next week when my pipe arrives. 1st stock, then with a M4 slip-on, then with the pipe and a BMC filter (if avail) then with a PCIII.
i'll post the #'s.
don't get too hung up on the hp#. if you ride the bike and are happy with it who cares? dyno's vary greatly. i've seen the same bike (my Ducati) dyno'ed 3 times on 3 diff dyno's and get 3 different #'s with a 6hp swing.
you have a great bike. have fun w/it.

Just remember a dyno is strictly a gauge for tuning. When I was into cars I had my STI dynoed in three different places just to see the diffrence. It varied by 20 awp, I couldn't believe how conservative some of the dynoes were. Go have your bike dynoed somewhere else, it will be different for sure. ;)

Your numbers do seem low but like everyone's saying, dyno machines vary. My bike with 40 miles on the clock made 130hp with TRE and 128 w/o TRE. The more I drive, my bike should loosen up 3-6% more. So if I can see 135 on the same dyno with similar weather conditions, i'd be happy.

I used a modified style of the Mototune way. Warm up bike, do 20 miles on the dyno machine, do 4 runs, oilchange..
Thanks for the info.
A guy here (in Calgary, elev.3736ft above sea level-that must be worth some hp?) did that method with 125rwhp.
I'm doing the slower method. When I get it dynoed, I'll post results.

as far as break in, when i first got my bike I did a burnout so my bike tires wouldn't be so slick then i took it easy for the first 400 miles or so. After that I went ahead and opened her up. At almost 700 miles I went and got my oil changed for the first time. Hope that helps a little

If let's say I got this bike dynoed at +200 feet above sealevel and got it dynoed again at 700 feet above sealevel how much difference in hp would it be? How much difference in elevation would you need to have b4 you can actually start telling a difference?

thats odd mine dynoed 138 at the wheel once i fix my scaner ill post the sheets to prove oh btw i got an m4 slip on also
138rwhp ... this is for an '06 750 with a slip-on and otherwise stock? That's beyond 10% variance and very unusual.
