ok today i had a odd experience when i shifted into 3rd gear i felt the bike slow A lot and after i gave it a bit more throttle no probs but it seams like 3rd is getting short for some reason
it was kinda like someone grabed my bike and tugged on it for a second
and its not beacuse of my shifting (already had a few others at work try it out)
thats and at about 7000k on the speedo im not getting any more HP is my transmision dieing on me ???? :crying
or do i need to grin and bear it and pay the ungodly ammount the shops out here want to get my bike jetted ( im not comfortable doing it ATM )

sounds like gas starvation(sp?). check your fuel lines for kinks/bends. if you have the stock petcock try running it in PRI (prime)

Same thing happened to me for the past few weeks - when I hit third around 6-7000 rpm the bike lost power. I had the entire fuel system dissassembled, cleaned adjusted and put back together and still the same thing. Turns out I had a bad coil, put new coils in and it's a brand new bike..
