I'm having issues with my clocks and was wondering wether layer model clocks would fit and work as plug and play? I would ideally like the later ones with the gear indicator but to be honest a set that work and show the right temp would be great

Are you aware that the shape and way it mounts vary from year to year? A gear indicator requires a gear position sensor, not a trivial thing to add. Displaying the temperature requires that the ECM transmit that info. I doubt that yours does. It would be much more expensive but an aftermarket cluster is probably the way to go. It probably won't work on a K2 but some display the fuel level instead of an indicator light. Doing it well would require some serious effort.
