Will a limited edition 750 shock work on an 86 750?

i put a 2002 gsxr 600 shock in mine. but mine is not the same generation as yours..

it might work for you

it's all good. the limited shock is superior to the plain-jane 750 shock.

i would recommend the spring length to about 6 inches/152mm. do it before you install the shock and lube the swing arm, linkage bearings while you're at it.

Thanks again, 86gixxer. The LTD shock was completely dead; it offered little resistance. So I just jacked up the preload on my original one, and buttered the mounting bearings. That abruptly quieted down the squeaking and such. It's working fairly well, I guess, but I'm taking the new shock to my buddies shop tomorrow to try and match up one from another bike.
Thanks for the tip on the swingarm bearings, but I already buttered those a couple weekends ago.
