It obviously depends on why you're lifting it. I find a strap from an overhead hoist is generally best. But it's only practical in a garage.

I can pick it up as shown or by the triple clamps.

The strap/hoist will also pick up the rear end.

I have a DMP headlift stand but got nervous about it scratching things while being inserted. So I removed the pin and slid some rubber tubing over the tube that the pin sits in. Now all I have to worry about is the pin itself. I think the PitBull stand also does that. Most stands are fine in the garage but clunky when rolling over asphalt. Woodcraft uses 5" wheels to greatly reduce that.
