How do i find out from the engine numbers what year my 1100 engines are

U707-108619 maybe 1995

U707-107189 Guessing 93-94

the 108619 motor had yosh stage 2 cams

the 107189 motor had stock cams, if they're 95 with the larger stock cams i may use them

both engines overbored 1.5mm

if i can use the yosh cams it would be cool i guess

but the cam timing deal is important, gotta have that correct

Late series engines had extra mounting points on the sides of the cylinder heads to mount to the chassis brackets. Standard cams are interchangeable as the chain sprockets were the same across the series.

both engines do not have the mounting points on the cylinder heads, so one must be must be 95 and up, the other 93-94

looking into the engine that was buttoned up already with a scope via the spark plug holes I can see the pistons are 1.5mm overbore and 12 to 1 compression, interesting, but things look good in the cylinders.

the comment about the heads really helped

so what i have is the bottom end of a 93 1100 with 12 to 1 1.5mm overbore pistons, topped off with a stock 95 head and cams, with an adjustable ignition advancer.....

so i need to see what i can do to get the yosh stage 2 cams from the 93 1000 head to work in the 95 head, and get the timing for the cams set correctly
