Bought a slightly wrecked 13 600.

PO took the cluster off of it so been hunting around for one and found one.

Not attached to anything in the nose fairing I find this bracket. Can't figure out where it goes or if it even goes on this bike. Looked over the schematics but no joy.

If you know please share. Thanks.

It's your rear seat/dome latch. that hook is to put the helmet D rings on so lock you can lock the helmet under it to the bike.

There should be a key operated mechanism too to unlatch.

Apparently it's this:

STRIKER 45290-47H01

Didn't think to look at the seat schematics. But it makes sense since the bike came with no rear seat. Looks like they just stuck this thing into the nose for safe keeping.

I'll be going with a rear cowl so shouldn't be needing this.
