Haven't done a lot yet due to financial restraints (something about wrecking a sub) but I’ve got plans. Most of what I’m doing is stuff that I can do or build myself.

What did you use to white out your windscreen? Looks good except for the sticker on your front hugger...

White paint and that sticker has special significance so it stays.

Yea - "Cooter" passed away on the sub "San Fran" off the island of Guam (crashed into the lower part of the island, which is a mountain under water). That was a sad incident. Had to dispath some of the Navy H60's to try to find the sub, along with some P3's that were here...

I don't know about the flag, but cool significance...

RIP Cooter!!!

The flag is a symbol of his heritage. A heritage that he, among others, take a great deal of pride in. NOT as a symbol of hate, but as a symbol of the defiant spirit of the southern states to not stand by and let what they thought at the time was tyranny. The same spirit that motivated the declaration of independence. The helo's were not dispatched to "find" us. They were dispatched to escort us back and if need be pick us out of the water in case we had to abandon the ship. Now please understand that I am not attacking what you said or you. As a person who was intimately involved with helping to keep "Cooter" alive while we tried to get him off the ship, I am a bit sensitive to the facts. He was a Very good friend of mine and I miss him greatly.

Respect is respect and I feel your pain. Losing someone close is always tough....

I am not going to dispute what you think or what I think...
But HC5 WAS dispatched to find the sub. Trust me, I was working and I filed the actual flight plan. We also launced a P3 along with them.
