Lesson 1: Don't buy a motorcycle, ride it for a few months, think you're ready to upgrade because you rode for a few hundred miles in the snow, ignore all sound advice to keep your current motorcycle, decide to take out a loan, and buy a 1000 because it's the most cost-effective purchase to make when upgrading (because everyone knows that 600s suck and you'll become bored of the power in a week or so).
