Im polishing the rims on my 88 750. Anyways i gota take the valves out be4 i either sandblast em or soak em in aircraft paint remover. How do i get em out? Do they gotta be replaced once removed or can i reuse them? Thanx 4 the help

best bet is to replace them and get solid ones that bolt on (used in racing) both are cheap. you can get the old ones out (without the tool) by cutting the base off (inside rim) with a razor blade, the solid ones won't flex or crack at the base, however will sit higher in the rim but most air hoses work fine as long as the head is small or flexable.

Hey 2wheelbandit I didn't remove mine, but I think I’m going to cut them out now.

I plan to take my rims in to a shop when I’m done and get the valves replaced, have the bearings cleaned and cared for. Because while sandblasting we got sand everywhere (damn tape wouldn't stick). Plus I need to have them weighted again anyways.
