Just bought a GSXR600 last weekend and loving it so far. When riding it back from Wales I noticed that when holding the throttle in a stable position occasionally it would feel that the power cut out only for it to pickup a second or two later.

The bike came with a Race Tech exhaust.

Any suggestions as to where I should start looking to remedy this?

Might be something simple like a loose kick stand. When you hit a bump it drops a bit and cuts power
momentarily. Lube the kickstand and make sure the springs are pulling it all the way up onto the
switch plunger.

Could be as simple as water in the fuel tank. What happened in the dashboard when it did that, did the tachometer drop? Any warning lights came on?

Does it have a quickshifter? I’ve just recalibrated mine as it was causing an ignition cut intermittently.

All resolved, O2 sensor was faulty/dirty. Disconnected at wiring harness and now runs flawlessly. Will be replacing to remove the FI light.

Interesting.

I have a similar problem, except it's on the car. At random times and usually when going uphill, the
engine will let off for half a second and then back on. It's random, so I can't always replicate and
no codes. But I'm also suspecting the O2 sensor.......except there's 4 of the suckers.

Anyway, let us know how the new sensor goes.
