I run a hillclimb car with a k8 gsxr-1000 engine and i want to upgrade it to drive/fly by wire.
Does anyone know if the later dbw throttle bodies fit ? I know that spacing was an issue and i have tried R1 throttle
bodies but the spacing is too far out.

man, you may as well just get the first gen fly by wire set up, you will need it all its integrated into everything and may malfunction if you don't have all the sensors connected and providing feedback, angle sensors, brake, wheel speed, all those sensors are integrated with the gixxer and all needs to be healthy..

why fly by wire?

it might be easier to get a 3rd party set up or make one that relies solely on a 12 volt signal to work, no ECU or sensors, just a simple electronic servo setup, otherwise I see a lot of work involved here dialing it in, easier to just find a salvaged gen with FBW and shoehorn that system in, however Suzuki wants ABS, TC, lean angle, launch, all that to work 100%, its all integrated and talking to one another, FBW talks to TC and allows throttle or not..

I am already running a motec ecu and i am capable of mounting/modifying the install so tuning etc is not an issue. For simpliciyt sake i was looking to see if any of the suzuki dbw throttle bodies would "bolt straight on " . I know i am asking a lot but if you don't ask -----------

+1 Sounds like a huge task. There are simpler tasks like variable intake stacks if you can do that.
Not so huge as i don't have the confines of a bike chassis and i have setup dbw before on car engines . Variable v stacks sound very interesting as i need all the mid range torque i can get . It is possible to incorporate them with the dbw and have the best of both worlds ?
