Everybody who has an asshole, is going to have their own opinion on this oil or that...
I use 300V in my race engines. I don't think it's going to do anything to a street bike, other than lighten your wallet.
There are cheaper high quality oils...lots of folks run Rotella with good results...you should buy whatever motorcycle rated oil, that's available in your area.

Find a new mechanic...running full synthetic oil, does not lead to shorter service intervals...it does the opposite, in normal conditions, it extends it.

Change your oil as per the manufacturer's recommendation...more often if it sees hard use like track days etc.

Your mech is wrong. Synthetic adds about 50% more time to service intervals. It's so slippery it doesn't shear like normal oils.
I've tried every different type of oil out there in my bikes. I have sent probably hundreds of samples out to Blackstone labs for a report. I find for the most part any quality oil will do about the same engine protection wise, at least as far as normal engines are concerned. That being said different oils will have different effects on your motorcycle that you can actually pick up on since your sitting on the motor, not away from it.
Things to look out for if your motor isn't happy with your choice of oils-
Notchy transmission
Noisy transmission
Missed shifts
Excess engine vibrations
Excess motor noise
Sluggish starting when cold
None of these are disasterous but can be a sign the oil isn't right for you.
Personally, my gsxr hates amsoil. It's like shifting a box of rocks. Redline makes my already screaming 6th gear noise much worse. It likes rotella t 10w-40 syn. I can feel it runs much smoother and quieter. I've got nearly 100k on the stock motor so I'm doing something right. Other oils may have gotten me there as well but certainly not as buttery smooth.
My r1 likes royal purple
My Harley likes Mobil 1
My snow blower likes amsoil

That’s interesting that amsoil doesnt work for you as I had run Motul in my 17 R1M and it made the shifting not so good . I put amsoil in it and much better. Now a Yammie gear box isnt even close to how nice a Suz gear box is.
‘my 03 GSXR 1000 shifts like butter with any oil in it. And has since the beginning. It’s now entering 184,000 miles on it. I run Motul 5100 in it at 15/50. The Yammie i had run 7100 before I switched to amsoil.

300V - 5000km for cars

It's a race oil, and just like race tyres, they are not designed for regular OCI.

I'd skip 300V on regular bikes.

+1 Amsoil metric bike oil. I like the stuff. Used it on street and track, for lots of miles. I'm gonna sound like an ad, but hear me out.

The focus with the Ams is the clutch function, and it does show. What I noticed with other full synth oils was poor clutch action at cold start (or with cold oil) and non-linear clutch action, especially with slipper clutches.

With the Amsoil, the clutch works the instant I set off from the driveway, and shifting is much more positive and I feel like there is less effort on the shifter with the Ams. On conventional non-synthetic, I found the shifter lever got harder to use and would slightly bind more often as the oil degrades, but with the Amsoil it stays very effortless and positive throughout the oil life.

I tried 300V in a few of my bikes, and once the oil warmed up, it was alright, but probably a waste of money and on my higher mileage bikes, it made my valvetrain make more noise. Amsoil and conventional oil were the only oils that made it just run better, but of course the conventional stuff I had to change every 2 seconds, but I was cheap in college so it worked out.

I've never had any rust, corrosion, pitting, or poor engine protection when using Amsoil so far as I can tell. Every time I open my bikes up, the inside of the engine is almost always spotless, nothing could be wiped off any surfaces. Even after a track crash and my other bike sitting for about a year now, inside of the engine looked just as good with only having the engine ran 1-2 times the entire year sitting, and it all looks perfectly healthy. That crashed bike has 57k miles, and my GSX-R has 47k miles, but most of those miles on my GSX-R weren't by me, so probably with worse oil, but it runs great and looks good inside.

Ams might not be the top of the heap, but it ticks all my boxes, and is more reasonably priced than Motul, and I order it by the gallon jug direct from Ams, it's cheap that way.

Just about any moto specific oil today will do you just fine, all you need to do is watch the color/condition of it, and change it regularly. I don't think there's any oil out today that would inadequately protect your engine, just change the oil and filter regularly and all will be well.

As often as I hear people say Motul 300V is "the best", I hardly ever actually see real people, on and off track, using the stuff. It's probably great stuff, but what is the best is what works the best for you and your bike. Took me 4-5 different oils to try before I kinda settled on Ams, and that was the only way to find out what worked best, and the cost is reasonable, especially in bulk purchase. A gallon of 300V is literally like 90-100 dollars. Uhg. I bought two gallons of Amsoil, shipped to my house for $110, with the cost of their rewards program. Literally about half the price and real good stuff, Motul 300V just doesn't make sense for me.

A ton of happy folks out there riding on stuff other than 300V, track and street. For what it's worth. We all want the same thing, the best most protecting oil for our bikes. Just get what's in budget, doesn't cause any issues, and what you're happy to replace on a regular basis.

Never used Motul in my Gixxers. But ANOTHER oil that's TOTALLY worth mentioning is Motorex Top Speed Swiss oil 10w40. Switched to it on my old 07' 750 and INSTANTLY noticed extremely smooth shifts and gearbox. Use it in my current Gixxer and absolutely LOVE IT. Paired with a K+N oil filter is perfect. It's pricey oil but TOTALLY worth it. Just my opinion.

Made In Australia.
"Synthetic oil, needs to be changed often" ??? Holding it a 12500 revs, oil needs to be changed often.😁
Oil is cheap. 5000 km interval is ok. My track bike gets new oil 10w50 or 60, every 500 km. (y)
