Has anybody put thermo fans on the oil cooler?
My 750 motor is 85 model but with the 89 oilcooler (larger). It works fine until i get into heavy traffic and then it sucks big time.
I thought this may have been an idea somebody out there has tryed?

Regards

BMW uses a thermo-fan on the cop version of one of their police boxers (comes with an extra oil cooler).

I can't see why there would be a problem. Check out the wreckers for one of the newer smaller ones, ie where the bike has 2 fans on the rad.

I have a magazine with photos of the first gsxr in 85 before it was released, suzuki had a fan behind the oil cooler in the photos.
they must have wanted to put a fan on them so I dont see why you couldn't.

you can use any 12 volt dc fan......so long as it's fairly weatherproof it'll be okay....

The new GSX1400 has a fan behind the oil cooler. Maybe that fan can be fitted? I'm thinking about fitting a fan to my bike as well because it gets extremely hot in the city. It gets so hot that the clutch does not engage smoothly.
