I grew up in a stainless steel family but through a friend in the border patrol my dad got a glock 23 at one point and of all of the guns it ran like a top when much of his other stuff was finicky. So I love me some glocks for over 20 years now.

But I do get the question all of the time about which is the best first or primary handgun and of course I am pro glock. But some people believe HK or a 1911 or whatever is best and while I could write a book on times myself or others I know have had to actually depend on a firearm. Needless to say this test from 4 years ago from the prepared ends all doubts.

I love me all types of guns even the 1911. But when it's do or die - hype doesn't matter, nor brand loyalty, design or even specs. Only function.

My 21 served me well as a duty carry. I even carried the 30 as a back up & off duty carry.
Still have both and few more, Glock's have always been my first choice for the reliabilty, durability & simplistic use.

Pull, point, shoot & put away.....:punk

I have a glock23C with a locking duty holster.

I've put about 750 rounds through it over the last year and a half. Never a problem.
