I would think you will have the same problems as when I tried to put a 96 arm on my 86. The front pivot is a very large dia and the tube in the arm that accomodates the larger bearings and pivot bolt will hit the back of the transmission. Think the latest you can go is a 94 braced arm and you can use the inside spacers on the early pivot bolt to adapt to the larger bearings of the 94, this is still way smaller than a 96 arm, dont know about 95 but someone here will.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Did it seem possible to remove enough material to make it work? I'm wondering if you could cut it away enough to provide clearance with the tranny and then weld in plate on the arm to reinforce the areas you removed.

I've got access to machine shop capability, so I'm not afraid of a little fabrication for spacers/bushings, welding, etc.

My motor is out of the frame, so I don't have any way to check it right now, even if I had a late model swing arm.

on the 96 it would require about 1/2" taken out of the front side of the pivot tube to clear the transmission. Dont know about the 01 arm also you will have linkage problems.
