I need to know what kinds of adjustment can be done to the stock suspension. The forks have a slotted adjuster at the top (rusted and seized on my bike

)

Does this do anything? is there some hidden adjusters anywhere?

What weight fork oil do you guys run?

Can anything be done with the rear shock for cheap?

I know I should rebuild them and put in emulators, but I am poor so I have to do poor boy repairs for now

At leasst my motor still rocks.

I just pulled the fork cap off, and found a one inch thick piece of solid aluminum on top of the springs.

I do not believe they are supposed to be there stock, so I pulled em out and reassembled. The preload was set at full out (least preload), so I assume whoever owned it first installed these blocks.

I will see how it handles now, but I do need to replace the oil as it looks like shit.

yup unseized em. Now to get some caps to cover them up.

Running no preload is too soft, at least I get to adjust it a bit.
