does anyone know the output amps of a stock charging system? im doing a swap into a samurai and want to know if i can just use the stator to charge instead of an alternator. i will probably be using a deep cycle battery. just wondering if there is a rating on it and what it is?

The output current depends on the load. The manual specifies the no-load voltage of the stator at 5000rpm as 65V and more and the man fuse is rated at 30A.

The Shindengen FH020AA is described as 30A continuous/50A peak. It's a MOSFET type so it should have a higher rating than ours. I'm thinking that ours are more like 20A continuous/30A peak. The stator ought to match that.
