I would like to know how to rig a stock damper from a newer GSX-R to fit my bike. The '96 didn't come with one.

I can't believe that with all of the do-it-yourself'ers we have in the riding community, no one has ever gone this cheap route. Please help me! I don't have an extra $300 to shell out for a Scott's right now.

C'mon, GiXXer bretheren! Help a nephew out.

I looked into it. Its not all that cheap. It basically requires you to drill a hole in the bottom of the head then.

The other mount goes under the triple clamp. The stock version has it casted into the lower.

Twice the stock isn't so great, more like barely adequate. I know the feeling you are going through. I don't have one on my bike right now, hopefully this will change very soon.

Don't feel bad,I took the one off my 99 & run it without one. With the right suspension setup you don't need one.Haven't had any problems so far.......
