So i've been running a katana 1100 motor in my 86 gsxr 1100 and recently scored a 1990 gsxr 1100 that I am planning to swap in place of. With the katana 1100 motor ive been running a set of 38mm carbs from a 1992 gsxr 750 with a stage 3 jet kit. Now the 1990 gsxr 1100 motor I have has the original 36mm carbs with it. Should I keep the stock 36mm carbs with the gsxr motor or should I put the 38s that I have on the katana 1100 motor on it instead? Both carbs have stage 3 dyno jet kits in them with individual pod filters. One thing is for sure I really like the fact that the idle knob is easier to use on the 38s.
