GOT DAAAMM THAT'S A BITCH TO TAKE OFF!!!

When I took the cover off, I noticed theres oil in there. Before I put the cover back on, do I put oil inside? Thought I'd ask before I start diggin in the manual

No, check oil window/add if needed.

It uses engine oil, just top off your current engine oil to where it needs to be and your fine.

I would change the whole oil my self with a flush fearing contamination from outside since you open the cover, but its not necassary.
