Before:29mm carbs,airbox,micron road can=79 RWHP
After:34mm CV carbs,Stage 3 dynojet,micron race can=90 RWHP.
I know i've increased the power, but is the end result something to shout about or should I cry into my porridge.
Dan, if I recall correctly, the '85 is the long stroke motor. I had an '86 with a slip-on and jet kit and it made 85 rwhp so it sounds like yours is right there. Of course there is the different dyno, different day conundrum. I thought that my '86 stock carbs were the 34's, but I could be on crack. The later ('88-9) motors were the short strokers and made a bit more hp than the early ones but only in a higher, narrower powerband. Troy 341
