Hello,

How did you shunt the two wires contact from the side stand when you remove it.

I will not install a race harness and I need to put the stand back in function afterwards.

Thanks for your ideas.

cut and splice leavin enough room to reconnect or just put a jumper wire in the plug but make sure it cant come loose

To resell the bike on road config.

Think I will solder the wires. I can still unsolder them later.

So I have to keep it plugged in and I can just remove the stand itself ?
If you remove the stand, the switch is open and the bike won't run (in gear). You will need to connect the two wires to fool the Saftey circuit into thinking that the kickstand is up. I saw one bike with the switch hose clamped so that it was closed all the time.

Also its better to take off the kickstand from the base, I wouldnt just take off that one bolt. Take off both allen bolts from behind, it will shave weight
