Can't believe it but after 5 thousand miles and 1 year my fork is pissing oil. I look after them religiously too.
Has anybody replaced the Oil seals in these forks?
I've done it on the BPF forks but never delved into these - How different is it?

Just had a quick look at the Manual and, whilst I haven't done these, there doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary if you have the odd adapted tool (y)

Well I pulled out the dust seal and ran a seal mate around the Oil seal. I then polished up the stanchions. The leak seems to have stopped. I took it for a 20 mile test ride today involving lots of hard braking and no leak.
Would you replace the seals anyway or leave as is?

if it stays oil tight i would just keep an eye on it we have only had to replace 1 since this bike has come out.

if it is not leaking there is no problem. you may have gotten some crud in the seal that you go out when you ran the seal mate around it

my bike always leaks from the right fork , I have replaced the right fork seal 4 times now , but the left one never , the bike has done 20600 miles , I wonder if everyone is struggling with these forks as well and what could be a potential solution. Tried replacing at the dealership and myself, same result after less than 5000 miles it start wiping and keeps gradually getting worse till it leaks completely.

^Thanks. An internet search for "skf fork seals green vs black" shows that this question has been asked several times before. The Ducati people dance around a bit but seem to say that green is better. I tried the SKF site and didn't get anywhere.

I have had the right fork leave an "oil ring" 2 times now. (Replaced by dealer under warranty the first time at 6K)

I am having the second replacement done. Bike now has 8K )

If it fails again soon I wont be using the Suzuki seals anymore.

^I'm inclined to suspect that the first replacement wasn't installed correctly. For example the oil seal lip can be damaged if you're not careful and Motion Pro sells a "seal bullet" to prevent that. I'll believe Jason that the SKF seals are better but the OEM seals aren't that bad.
