The 750 caliper arm makes things nice and easy, I recomend getting one, or yuo can bend the shit out of the 1100 brake arm ,but that looks like hell, as far as riding goes you will like the 750 arm on the 1100

When I went to a 93 arm on my 88 7-11 I used the 88 750 arm on my 91 1100 (now gone) You could shorten the 1100 Brake Stay (thats the proper name) just mount your brake caliper and put the caliper so its flat with the Brake Stay paralell to the ground facing the mount point on the frame and mesure from bolt hole to bolt hole. Then take it to a certified welder and have him weld it up to the right size.
