The set is attached to the stock can.
When you remove the set, remove the cables that run to the servo motor.
Are you removing the servo motor too?
It's attached to the frame just above the set valve.
As for the set valve, here's all you'll need..

p.s. You can just cut the blk/bro wire instead of removing it from the ECU
plug..

no, i did the same and removed all of it and everything worked fine with no light... just cut the wire and tape it if you can't get it to come out because it can be a real pain in the butt... if you end up cutting the wire make sure you leave a little room on the wire just incase you decide to put it back to stock for some reason or another.

hope that helps man!

I just went through the same thing last month. It is a real pain in the ass so i decided to just cut the wire and tape it.

No FI light here.

I've got a Ti yoshi Japan shorty on my machine. Yep, not the quietest one available, but sounds good. Yoshi quote 103dB at 5500rpm. The servo motor has been removed from my bike, no probs. The muffler will come with instructions for removing everything
