Well, the winter project is underway, this is the list so far,
1989 GSXR 750
1. Polished frame
2. Painted engine
3. New grips and bar ends
4. New wind screen
5. Repair Tach.
6. Install LED signals
7. Fresh stock Paint job
8. New tires
9. New Chain
10. New sprockets
11. New brake pads
12. New clutch
13. New plugs and wires
14. Valve adjustment
15. Carb. Sincro.
16. New air filter

Just a few easy questions for the Sr. members of the board, Has any one ever bypassed the kick stand switch? Where might I find the required gaskets for a valve and clutch job? And your recommendation on a replacement chain would be much appreciated.

thats easy the kick wireing sould be under your gas tank leading from it to the ignition key sould be 3 wires in a bunble with a clip just use a multi meter in ohms and move the kick to find out when its short then when you find it ground it out and your all set

Many thanks. I have been stranded because of that little apparatus. Some times it works. Other times, well….:rolleyes

I just ran mine to the battery, with a prong crimped on the end to ground it. I also bought a roll of gasket material to trace them out, and make my own. I say go for oem on the valve cover gasket. I also am gonna replace my tires, and a new D.I.D. chain this year. still deciding what tires to go with this year...?
