You know better than to ride around trucks any longer than absolutely necessary, but a far more insidious danger is the unprofessional vacationista whose load-securing skills are often primitive. Whenever you see somebody towing a boat, a trailer, or especially a boat or a trailer with a bunch of other junk strapped onto or around it, expect this to happen and ride accordingly, i.e., nowhere around it. Especially not behind it. That goes double for the bane of Southern California motorists, the gardening truck, which is often a rolling obstacle course of weedwackers, rakes, and aluminum ladders yearning to break free. If you see someone holding a mattress to his roof with one hand out the window, know you’ll be the one most likely to take a nap if you’re silly enough to ride behind him

This rider got back up; we wish him a speedy recovery.

LMAO!!!

Yup I remember one time when I was just a mere Padawan riding on the interstate, I was following a pick up with a ladder in the back of the bed... I remember saying to myself... If this thing flies out where is my escape plan, not more then 5 seconds later the ladder goes air borne and slid perpendicular to my lane... So glad I thought about my escape plan and executed it and saved my self from a bad time.... Since then I ride with the though that everyone and everything is out to get me... Saved my self a few times.

Nice... If I actually ran across this individual I would likely make a firm statement about how much of a moron they were to pack in such a manner to risk other operators. This is where I'd hope Law enforcement would intervene.

I had a 1990s Toyota beaner truck loaded with lawn equipment lose a tyre and almost topple on top of me. But I avoided it because race car.
