I am at the point where I am so fed up with having dealers trying to fix my FI light that I dont want the bike anymore. I have had the bike in the shop 4 times and this time they have had it for over 2 weeks. This is obviously a problem with my bike that they can not fix. Does anyone think I am entitled to a refund. I plan on speaking to someone a Suzuki, and finding out what there policy is with that sort of thing. I am willing to put money down a 2007 if that will make it easier for them. Curious to know if anyone has ever tried to return a bike, with or without sucess.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

Hey man I have some advice. Call head office. They will take care of you... or:

Ask the dealership what code is causing the FI light. If it's C46 it's your SET valve. That's common to these new bikes. The fix is to remove the set valve all together. You'll actually get a smoother throttle response and 2 more HP. It's just for noise emissions. What's happening is the valve isn't opening properly because of a failure of the servo in the tail end of your bike. There's a thread in the 06 600 750 forum on the removal of the set valve. It's not that hard.

I'd still call head office and let them know this is a 'QUALITY ASSURANCE ISSUE" key words. They will take care of you.

( I registered GSXR.ca just to publically post all the problems i've had - they didn't like that either ) :)

If you want, I can put your name and location up there with a description of the run-around you've got. That way when you call head office you can let them know you published these problems for everyone to see at gsxr.ca.

No problem man. Don't let them pull that stuff. This is a big investment and a brand new bike and it's already broken? Come on, they better bend over backwards for you. And they will, just keep asking for supervisors supervisors supervisors. Eventually you'll get the regional sales or service advisor and he'll do everything to make you happy - and call your dealership and probably give them shit. That's what happened in my case. I don't go back to my dealership anymore because of this but whatever, they blew it anyways.
