Bike has been off the road for 18 months and would not start... knowing about sh#t fuel I decided to strip and clean the carbs with my ultrasonic cleaner, so far so good.

Then these little things turned up to ruin my party. Never seen them before on GS1100 carbs.
But here they are saying look at me!

So far two sets... lost one ball so now have two springs and one ball. Not away i want to live my life.
Prefer two balls with both springs doing a good job.

So WTF.. where do the go?

They go on the number 2 and 3 carbs I believe. take a look at an exploded view on Bike bandit or Partzilla, its item 57 & 58. They act as a detent to "lock" the choke rod in the closed position when you pull it out. Lost one of mine too. Works fine with only one set on mine.

I know - WTF.
Just pulled my carbs out to fit a dynojet kit and surprise 2 tiny springs and balls leaving me puzzled as to where the hell they came from.

Now I know - Perfect timing for this thread.
