Rebuild cbr1000 or new bike

How much Hp can a 150Hp motor make if its rebuilt with 3mm over bore 1075 kit. Just a basic rebuilt, new crank, rod bearings, valve seals, pc3, pipe. I could do all this cheaper than a new bike and i was thinking it may be a bit faster too.

it really depends on which bike.. of course its going to be faster than buying a newer bike stock.. just certain bikes are worth doing a 3mm kit and some arent.. if its a cbr1000rr and you are lookign to go fast you would be better of buying a new gixxer with bolt ons.. trust me i own a 1000rr..
For some reason I believe he is talking about a CBR1000. But im just goin on a hunch.
Yea its a stock 2004 CBR1000rr with 30,000 miles on it. A guy i know is selling it for about $4500 but then motor work is also costly. I need something to drag race so perhaps a new bike would be almost as fast and more reliable.
go with the new bike they dont make enough parts for the cbr to bother drag racing it.. i had trouble even getting the strap set up safely on mine.. go with a gixxer or zx-10
cbr1000rr is the best 1000 motor on the market at the moment from a tuning point of view. 205bhp at rear wheel on stock bore with the right cams and pistons. Strongest crankcases too. Well worth a go.

That sounds very promising if true. You must be referring to the 2006 motor, and do you have any more info to share?
